Although I have not yet got round to putting up my own pictures of Budapest, I though I’d give a taster what it was like via a video that a friend of mine made. He DJs and the video is on his website. I think I feature once in the video; I think you see my back. It’s a long video and half of it is of the Sensation White in Budapest and half of the Sensation White in Zurich, which I didn’t go to, but it gives a sample.

After getting into town at 6:45 I headed home, washed and went to work. I functioned much better than I had anticipated and actually got a respectable day’s work done. Monday night Alex and Vittoria came over for supper and I also had to cook curry for Tuesday Evening’s spicy food evening, so it was all go, and a predictably late night.
Tuesday evening 10 of us got together in Mido’s Wohnheim to cook spicy food. We had 2 sorts of curry, paella, fajitas and chilli bread. Washed down with red wine the combination was delicious and after a long and stressful day at work, particularly enjoyable. Wednesday was also a long day and in the evening I stayed in to spend some time with my flatmates. Today was a public holiday in Germany and much appreciated by all. It was a lovely day. Lie in, followed by a picnic lunch in the park with friends and frisbee, followed by a visit to the new Brandhost museum. It is a brand new modern art museum, opened today and free for today. The artist I most liked was Erich Fischl but apart from that I wasn’t particularly bowled over. This evening I have spent some time trying to get ahead of myself on work for tomorrow in a potentially vain attempt to leave on time. And talking to friends
. Saturday I’m off hiking in Austtria; it’s quite busy at the moment…
In 1 hour and 30 minutes I’m going to leave for Budapest for the weekend. Right now I’m sitting impatiently in my room because it’s just that little bit too early to go. I’ve packed, checked my passport and tickets 3 times (they’re in my pregnancy pouch) and am now getting butterflies from all the excitement. In case anyone is wondering what a pregnancy pouch is, its a name my friends and I coined last year travelling because it’s a pouch and when you wear it under your clothes it makes you look pregnant. I’s a good look.
Right, I think through a combination of writing this drivel and reading the news I’ve now wasted enough time to be able to go and catch my train
Report on return.
